QEII Hospital Waterproofing Assessment
The Challenge
The QEII Hospital required urgent investigation into water ingress affecting critical hospital areas. The investigation needed to be conducted with minimal disruption to hospital operations and patient care.
Our Investigation
Non-invasive thermal imaging and moisture mapping were conducted during operational hours to identify moisture pathways. Targeted water testing confirmed ingress sources at key locations.
Key Findings
Our investigation identified failed waterproofing at planter box junctions, deteriorated roof membrane at mechanical plant penetrations, and compromised sealant joints at the building facade.
The Outcome
The consulting report provided Build with a prioritised remediation plan that allowed staged repairs around hospital operations, ensuring patient areas remained unaffected during rectification works.
